Oh what fun! Tamra, you did a great job on the party. My kids came home and talked about pirates the whole day and were still talking about them as we were getting them ready for bed. They even wanted to sleep in their pirate "hats" and black tie belts(we let them)!
We had so much fun.

Happy Birthday, Benjamin! We talked about Benjamin yesterday and that it was his birthday. We were all down in the school room and the kids got their scrapbooks down and Justin's is full of him and Benjamin..it was so fun to look at those. Can't wait for them to get to play together again next week.

OH, I feel awful! I totally forgot! I remembered being with you guys last year on New Year's Eve, but I totally forgot Benjamin's b'day! The kids are going to be upset with me!

I just always thought he was too young to be responsible with gum until the last year or so. It just kind of turned into a thing that we never let him have gum, so it had to be on a special occasion that we finally did. I know it's silly and Cait probably won't make it to her 5th birthday to have gum. But it was fun and very special for him. He asked me about 10 times today for more gum. I kept giving it to him because I like to spoil them on their birthdays. I love birthdays! But he sure is going to be surprised today when he doesn't get it every time he asks!

We, too, had a wonderful time at Benjamin's pirate party. It was obvious that you put alot of time and effort into making it a special day for him. Mary Alice, who before yesterday had never expressed any interest in pirates, was asking me questions about them all the way home. She and Major have been playing with their party favors. Major has taken over the pirate hook you made, and runs around the house swinging it and saying "Arrgh!" Thanks for such a wonderfully fun time!
